Karen Eade has joined Family First Play Therapy as a Play Therapy intern. She has graduated with a Master of Pastoral Studies and Master of Divinity and is working towards certification as a Child and Play Therapist. Karen has experience in working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, grief, and emotional needs. She values the experience of the child and the ability they have to grow, learn and thrive when given the supportive environment and the trusting relationship that Karen builds with each individual and family she works with.

LORIE WALTON M.Ed. Registered Psychotherapist (#002118), CPT/S, CPT/ST
Lorie has an extensive portfolio, working as a consultant in developing programming for children with Autism for the Ministry of Education Program Standards Unit and The Ministry of Community Family and Children's Services. She also has served as President for the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy (CACPT) for six years and continues to be an active member. Currently, Lorie provides support as a consultant and supervisor for many agencies across Ontario and Canada.
Lorie offers a variety of workshops on Play Therapy and attachment related topics as well as internship opportunities and supervision to those studying to become certified in Play Therapy and Theraplay®
LARISA LEVALDS MA, Registered Psychotherapist (#001497)
Lorie Walton is the Owner and Lead Therapist of Family First Play Therapy Centre in Bradford, Ontario. A centre that focuses on helping children and their families deal with attachment, trauma, emotional and developmental issues.
Lorie specializes in working with adopted/foster care children who are facing attachment related issues and trauma. She also has training in working with children who have been sexually abused.
Before becoming a Certified Child Play Therapist, Lorie devoted her life and studies as a special needs resource teacher for children with developmental and physical disabilities, including children with Autism.
LINDSAY CROWE MSW, Registered Social Worker (#827380)
Liz Christie joined Family First Play Therapy as a play therapy intern in 2014. She has her master's degree in counseling psychology and graduate level training in child development, Play Therapy and Applied Behaviour Analysis. Liz has also attended workshops in Theraplay and childhood trauma. Liz is excited to join the Family First team. She brings with her a warm, safe, trusting and passionate manner of play to heal big feelings.
Her areas of practice include clinical psychology, school psychology and counseling. She is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, The Canadian Register of Health Service Provides in Psychology, The Internationall Neuropsychological Society, The International Association for the Study of Attachment and The American Board of School Neuropsychology.
Through her practice in Toronto Canada, she offers psychological assessments, school Neuropsychological evalutions and consultation to help parents, educators and professionals with the adolescent and child problems that worry them.
Dr. O'Connor also works with children who have experienced trauma related issues, and/or attachment based concerns.
Larisa Levalds joined Family First Play Therapy as a Play Therapy Intern and has since become fully certified and has graduated with her Master of Counselling degree. She has extensive knowledge and experience working with children who have emotional, trauma, mental health, and/or developmental needs. She is passionate, dedicated, experienced and committed to helping children using strength-based approaches and believes each child she works with has the inner resilience to work through their issues as long as they are given a safe, and trusting relationship and environment to do so

Lindsay Crowe joined the Family First Play Therapy team as a Play Therapy Intern in 2015. She has graduate with a Masters of Social Work and is registered with the College of Social Workers. Lindsay has also attended the Theraplay level 1 training with Lorie Walton and will be furthering her post graduate studies by pursuing Certification in: EMDR, Theraplay, and Play Therapy. Lindsay has experience working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and have mental health and/or developmental needs. Lindsay is excited to be part of the Family First team and is committed to helping children work through their challenges by emphasizing their strengths and resilience while creating a supportive, trusting and safe environment for them and their families.

Dr. O'Connor is a consultant and clinical supervisor for Family First Play Therapy Centre Inc and is a great addition to our therapy team. Dr. O'Connor is a licensed psychologist in Toronto Ontario, with over two decades of experience working with adolescents, children and their families. She received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Toronto. She holds a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology from the American Board of School Neuropsychology. She also holds specialty disignation in Clinical Psychology from the The American Board of Professional Psychology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. In addition, she obtained a Certificate in Attachment Theory and Treatment.
